Free Trade Zone Storage

Storage, light manufacturing, and distribution under the free zone regime.

Who we are

Free trade zone operations, no double taxation.

We operate our own infrastructure under the free zone regime: storage, light manufacturing, assembly, picking, packing, cross-docking, and nationwide distribution. Your goods enter without triggering duties until nationalization — or export without double taxation.

What sets us apart is being part of the same group that clears and transports your cargo. One coordinated operation, fast decisions, and a single accountable party when something changes.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most

If your question is not here, write to us. An advisor will reply within 24 hours.

  • What tax benefits does the free trade zone offer?
Reduced income tax rate (20%), no VAT or tariffs on goods while they remain in the free trade zone, and exports without double taxation.
  • Can any company use the free trade zone?
Yes — you do not need to be a qualified industrial user. We offer schemes for commercial users who leverage the infrastructure without the regulatory burden of qualifying.
  • How do you coordinate with my team and receive orders?
We coordinate directly with your team: we receive orders by email or standard EDI formats and send operational reports at every milestone (receipt, dispatch, reconciliation).
  • Do you handle high-turnover products or e-commerce?
Yes. We have dedicated areas for B2C operations with unit picking, labeling, and handoff to last-mile couriers.
  • What type of user do I need to be to operate in a free trade zone?
Colombia recognizes three categories of free trade zone users: industrial goods user, industrial services user, and commercial user. Each has different investment and employment requirements. You do not need to qualify yourself to use the infrastructure, however: as an authorized operator, we offer schemes so you can leverage the tax benefits without the regulatory burden of qualifying as an industrial user.
  • Can I invoice domestic customers from the free trade zone and export at the same time?
Yes. That is exactly the advantage of operating in a free trade zone: the same goods can leave for Colombia's national customs territory (nationalizing and paying duties at that moment) or be exported abroad without double taxation. The choice is made per outbound operation, giving you flexibility to serve local demand and international markets in parallel.
  • What is the difference between a free trade zone and a bonded warehouse?
A bonded warehouse stores goods under customs control but is still considered national customs territory, with a limited timeframe (typically 12 months) and suspended duties. A free trade zone is extra-customs territory: goods can remain indefinitely, be transformed, assembled, and exported without triggering duties, with additional benefits like the reduced income tax rate (20%) for qualified users. For permanent operations or transformation, the free trade zone has clear advantages.
  • What types of goods cannot be stored in the free trade zone?
Restricted from entering the free trade zone are weapons, ammunition, controlled psychoactive substances, unauthorized hazardous waste, and goods prohibited by Colombian regulation. Perishables, dangerous goods (DGR), and cold-chain products are handled but require specific infrastructure and permits. We validate every category before receiving cargo.
